Are you willing to be wrong…often?
“5 times I was wrong and what it taught me”
Craig Groeschel, host of the Global Leadership summit, reflects on his 30 years as a leader and shares “5 times I was wrong and what it taught me”.
The first item he shares is that the key to growth is a willingness to be wrong…often.
Wait…what? I’m not sure that my leadership reflected this. Aren’t we as leaders supposed to be right? We create and follow a process with the right stakeholders and timeline and conversations and then make the best decision given all the information. But that doesn’t mean we will always be right.
Are you willing to be wrong…often?
Craig goes on to encourage leaders to “Get good at being wrong - and be wrong fast”.
The longer you wait the higher the cost.
The place you’re most confident that you’re right is often the place where you’re most vulnerable to being wrong.
